Reason for name change
In a Indian raid Sams mother put him in the root cellar and returned to Sams daddy to fight off the Indians. In the next farm they noticed the smoke and gunfire and called out the milisha, when the milisah arrived there was nothing left of the cabin, a soldier heard a baby crying and it was Sam in the cellar, he carried him home and raised him to be a carpenter, Sam later migrated to North Carolina where he met and married Sally Carter.
